Ottawa – 18
Montreal – 39
The Ottawa Redblacks fell 39-18 to the Montreal Alouettes in their home opener, extending their losing streak to nine games against Montreal and falling to 0-2 on the season. Backup QB Matt Shiltz threw for 205 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted three times, one returned for a score. Penalties and missed chances, including a failed goal-line push, hurt Ottawa, while Montreal capitalized to remain undefeated at TD Place since 2018. Receiver Eugene Lewis’s touchdown streak also ended, falling one short of a CFL record. Missed opportunities, turnovers, and undisciplined play ultimately sealed their defeat. Here are a few gameday images.
